캐나다한국교육원(원장 이지은)은 지난 7월 28일(월)부터 8월 8일(금)까지 '2025 한국어 및 한국문화 집중과정 캠프'를 성황리에 마쳤습니다. 이번 캠프는 토론토대학교 동아시아학과와 공동으로 운영되었으며 온타리오 지역에 거주하는 재외동포 및 캐나다 고등학생(8학년부터 12학년까지)을 대상으로 한국어와 한국 문화를 깊이 있게 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공했습니다. 캠프 기간 동안 토론토대학교 동아시아학과 한국어 교수진이 참여해 수준별 한국어 집중 교육을 진행했으며 K-POP, 서예, 태권도, 한국 영화 감상 등 다채로운 한국문화 체험 프로그램을 운영해 참가자들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었습니다.

The Korean Education Affairs Section from the Korean Consulate in Toronto (Head: Jihoon Jang) held a Study in Korea Info Session at Renison College, University of Waterloo, on July 9th, for university and Korean language program students. The Study in Korea Info Sessions covered a range of relevant topics from general information on Korea, the application process for applying to Korean universities, government-sponsored (Global Korea Scholarship) and university scholarships, various types of study programs, and information pertaining to the lifestyle and living costs in Korea. By discussing these topics in-depth and providing resources, participants were encouraged to consider future study in Korea opportunities as they continue their education, and language and cultural learning. The Info Session also included a testimonial from a former Canadian exchange student at Yonsei University, the exchange application process and resources, and a discussion on internship experiences in Korea.

7월 9일, 주토론토총영사관(원장: 장지훈)은 Renison College(University of Waterloo)에서 대학생들을 대상으로 한국유학 설명회(Study in Korea Info Session)를 개최하였습니다. 한국 유학에 대한 전반적인 안내와 함께 정부 초청 외국인 장학생 프로그램을 비롯한 다양한 장학금 제도, 한국 대학 지원 절차, 교환학생 프로그램, 한국 대학의 외국인 특별 전형 및 유학을 위한 학생 비자 등 유익한 정보를 제공하였습니다. 또한, 2022년 연세대학교 교환학생 프로그램에 참여한 Edward Jang 인턴이 교환학생 프로그램에 대한 실제 경험을 공유하고, 한국에서의 생활 팁과 코업 준비 과정 및 경험담을 전하며, 유학에 관심 있는 학생들에게 실질적인 조언을 제공하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다.
