Revised Application Method and Schedule for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship Program for Undergraduate degrees (GKS-U)

 Due to the suspension of the Study in Korea online system, application submission through the system is currently unavailable. Accordingly, the application method and schedule have been revised as follows:

 

Applicants must submit their application documents directly (in person, by mail, etc.) to the first round of selection institutions (embassy track or university track)* by October 17, 2025.

  * First round of selection institutions

     - Embassy Track: Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto

     - University Track: GKS-designated universities

 

Applicants who have already submitted their applications online are also required to resubmit their complete application documents to the first round of selection institutions by the deadline.

 

Important Updates Regarding Offline Application Process

① (Submission Method) Online Submission(studyinkorea.go.kr) -> In-person or Mail Submission

② (Submission Period) 9.15~9.30, 16 days -> 10.6~10.17, 12 days

③(Submitted Documents) One original document with Apostille (or consular legalization) verification -> One original document with Apostille (or consular legalization) verification and three photocopies
