[Notice Regarding Temporary Suspension of the Study in Korea System and Alternative Submission of GKS Undergraduate Applications]

Due to the fire incident at the National Information Resources Service (NIRS), the Study in Korea website and system are inaccessible. As a result, online applications for the 2026 GKS Undergraduate Program cannot be submitted at this time.

Should the system restoration be delayed, the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) will implement an alternative submission procedure through in-person submission of application documents (in person, by mail, etc.) beginning Monday, October 6, 2025.

Please be advised that, in the event of this transition, all applicants (including those who previously submitted their applications online) will be required to resubmit their application documents.

Further schedules and detailed instructions will be announced through the NIIED website and by the first round of selection institutions (Korean embassies and participating universities). Applicants are kindly requested to check the following resources regularly for updates:

   - NIIED News & Event: www.niied.go.kr > Resources > News & Event

   - Please refer to the attached file for the contact information of participating universities.

We ask for your kind understanding.
