'The Homeland Education Program for Overseas Koreans' is an educational program specially designed for overseas Koreans only. It is compried of diverse special programs such as field trip, exchange with the locals and college students, club activities, and classes regarding Korean language, culutre, and history. Accomplishing 90% or higher in satisfaction through support from the formation of a global network for overseas Koreans and career guidance, the program is the nation's only long-term education program for overseas Koreans. ■ Educational Objective To train the practical Korean language proficiency needed for understanding the homeland, the ability to adapt to the future international society, and to foster the world citizens who will be active in international society by equipping students with wide knowledge as the Korean people through the mastery of Korean history & cultures ■ Place of Issue & Receipt of Application Forms Korean Legations(embassies/general consulates/Korea Education Institution in Resident Country ■ Documents to be submitted ① Application Form(Prescribed Form)………………………………………………………1 copy ② Certificate of (Expectant) Graduation for one’s highest level of school ………1 copy ③ Transcript for one’s highest level of school ……………………………………1 copy ④ Certified Documents of a Korean National & Overseas Resident ……………1 copy (Certificate of Resident Registration listing the whole family, Certificate of Alien Registration, etc. A written confi rmation of adoption in case of an international adoptee) ⑤ A Photocopy of a Passport …………………………………………1 copy ⑥ Student Study Plan(a prescribed form) …………………………………1 copy ■ Admission Process ① The application together with its following documents submitted by an overseas Korean resident are to be reviewed by overseas missions through which the same overseas missions recommends the relative applicant to NIIED. ② The president of NIIED is to notify the list of the selected applicants among the applicants recommended by overseas missions to the president of Kongju National University and the recommending institution. ③ The president of Kongju National University is to transmit the permission of admission status of the selected applicants and invitation letters(or standard admission letter) to the relevant chief of overseas missions. ④ The president of Kongju National University is to provide the entrants to education program with services needed for practical admission, such as entry support & school registration and dormitory assignment, etc. For specific information, please refer to the following document: Program Guide in English

□ 주토론토총영사관 캐나다한국교육원(교육원장:이병승)은 경기 도교육청 학생단 24명 및 인솔교사 3명을 초청해 온타리오 지역 학교 및 문화체험을 진행한다고 밝혔다. □ 이번 프로그램은 2017년 7월 온타리오 지역 교민학생들이 경 기도교육청에서 진행한 캐네디언학생 초청 한국방문 프로그 램에 참여한 것에 대한 교류 프로그램의 일환으로, 경기도교 육청 학생들은 1월 31일에서 12일까지 2주간 온타리오 학교 체험 및 나이아가라 & 캐나다 동부 여행, 캐네디언 가정 홈 스테이 체험 및 문화체험 등의 프로그램에 참여하게 된다. □ 경기도교육청 학생 대표 24명은 이번 프로그램을 통해 주중 에는 토론토카톨릭교육청의 프란시스 리버맨고등학교, 세인 트마더테레사고등학교와 세인트버나드초등학교에서 버디 지 원을 한 캐나다 현지 학생들과 학교 체험을 진행하며, 주말 동안에는 한국을 방문했던 온타리오 가정과 함께 홈스테이 및 캐나다 현지 여행을 하게 된다. □ 이병승 캐나다한국교육원장은 "2017년 7월 진행된 경기도교 육청 프로그램을 통해 한국방문을 했던 캐네디언학생들이 한 국에서의 따뜻한 정을 느끼고, 고국에 대한 정체성 확립에 도움을 받았던 것처럼, 경기도교육청 학생들도 이번 체험 프 로그램을 통해 양국의 문화를 서로 이해하면서 미래 사회의 리더로 성장하는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다." 고 말했다.
