장지훈 캐나다한국교육원 원장은 2024년 2월 24일, 토론토대학교 동아시아학과와 더프린필카톨릭교육청 (Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board)의 International Language 프로그램인 Father Michael Goetz 카톨릭고등학교 Credit Program이 공동으로 주관하고 캐나다한국교육원이 후원한 2024 K-LangLink Event를 방문하여 축사하고, 앞으로도 대학교 한국어 강좌와 고등학교 한국어반 수업이 연계할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램들이 활성화 되도록 격려하였습니다. 올해 처음으로 진행된 K-LangLink Event는 고등학교에서 한국어 수업을 듣는 학생들이 토론토대학교 로바츠도서관을 방문하여 필드트립을 진행하고, 토론토대학교 동아시아 학과 소개, 한식체험 등의 행사로 진행되었습니다.

Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries. This Scholarship Program invites four Canadian nationals (three Canadians, one overseas Korean) for the "2024 Global Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for Graduate Degrees”, to be conducted in Korea (Master's Degree Program: 1 year of Korean Language Training + 2 years of Degree Program or Doctoral Degree Program: 6 months or 1 year of Korean Language Training + 3 years of Degree Program). *Please note that two other candidates from Quebec will be separately recommended by the Korean Consulate General in Montreal.
