장지훈 원장은 2024년 10월 8일 충남교육청 관내 초등 영어교사 16명이 참석하고 더프린필카톨릭교육청(DPCDSB)에서 실시하는 영어교사 해외 연수단 환영식에 참석하여 연수생들을 격려하였습니다. 이번 연수는 충청남도 교육청이 주관하고, 해외기관(PIEA)이 협력하여, 더프린-필카톨릭교육청(DPCDSB) 관내에서 4주간 진행됩니다. 연수 기간 동안 교사들은 다양한 문화체험을 통해 캐나다의 교육과 생활에 대해 이해하는 시간을 갖게 됩니다.

장지훈 교육원장은 9월 23일 충남교육청 기초학력센터에서 해외 우수 기초학력지원 제도와 방안 에 대한 현장조사 를 위하여 토론토를 방문한 공주교육대학교 교수들과 충청남도교육청 소속 방문단을 면담하고, 한국-캐나다 교육 협력 현황, 캐나다 교육이 한국 교육에 주는 시사점에 대한 내용을 안내하였습니다.

캐나다한국교육원 장지훈 원장은 2024년 9월 21일, 2024-2025년 고등학교 한국어반 교사 워크숍을 개최하였습니다. 이번 워크숍에서는 2023-2024년 고등학교 한국어반 학생 교육에 최선의 노력을 다해 주신 선생님들께 감사의 인사를 드리고 그 간의 운영에 대한 평가를 하였습니다. 또한, 2024-2025년 고등학교 한국어반 학생 모집을 위한 홍보 방안 및 교육 방법들에 대해 논의하고, 교육원의 지원 방향에 대해 안내하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 이번 워크숍에서는 고등학교 선생님들이 직접 학생수를 늘리고, 유지하는 방법에 대하여 의견을 나누고, 학생들이 더 재미있게 한국어 수업에 참여할 수 있도록 수업과 관련된 Activities들을 공유하고, 교재 활용 방법, 문화체험 수업 중 학생들에게 호응도가 좋았던 수업들에 대한 의견들을 나누며, 의미있는 시간을 가졌습니다.
