Free Korean Textbook Giveaway at the 2026 Toronto Korean Festival

The Korean Education Affairs Section will be giving away 1,000 new Korean learning books for free at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea booth during the 2026 Toronto Korean Festival, August 21–23.

The idea began with a simple question from a grandfather:

“Are there any Korean books I could use to teach my grandchild?”

Inspired by this request, we decided to share unused Korean textbooks originally provided for Korean language education with families and learners who could put them to good use.

Whether you are a child learning Hangul for the first time, an adult studying Korean, a parent or grandparent teaching Korean at home, or simply interested in Korean language and culture, everyone is welcome!

Free Korean Textbook Giveaway

• Dates: August 21–23, 2026

• Location: Consulate General of the Republic of Korea Booth at the 2026 Toronto Korean Festival

• Books: 1,000 new Korean learning books (about 300 available each day)

• Limit: Up to 2 books per person

• Registration: No advance reservation required

Books will be organized by Korean proficiency level so visitors can easily browse and choose materials that best suit their needs.
