To provide beginner-level Korean language learning opportunities online for learners across Canada, regardless of where they live or their learning environment.

■ Program

TOPIK Preparation Course
A preparatory course for learners who wish to build a foundation for the TOPIK Level I and II examinations.

Basic Korean Course
A fast-track introductory course for beginners who are learning Hangul for the first time.

Everyday Korean Conversation Course
A course designed for learners who can read basic Hangul and wish to use Korean in everyday situations.
■ Registration Information

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and courses may fill up before the registration deadline.

A registration fee of CAD $50 is required upon registration. Students who meet the attendance requirement will receive a full refund of the registration fee.

To provide waitlisted applicants with an opportunity to enroll and to support effective course administration, a full refund of the registration fee will be provided only if a cancellation request is submitted at least 3 days before the course start date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 2 days of the course start date or for withdrawals after the course has begun.

The registration fee serves as a refundable deposit to encourage consistent participation. Students who meet the attendance requirement for their course will receive a full refund of the registration fee upon completion of the course. The registration fee will not be refunded to students who do not meet the attendance requirement.

Liza Lee / 이리사
Liza Lee is a Korean language instructor with experience in language teaching, professional interpreting, and cross-cultural communication. She taught Korean at Hansa Language Centre Toronto from 2024 to 2026. She also worked as a Korean interpreter in Argentina for KOTRA-related business meetings and cultural events, including K-pop concerts, supporting communication between Korean and international professionals. With experience across Korea, Argentina, and Canada, Liza brings practical language knowledge and cross-cultural understanding to her Korean classes. Soohyeon Kim/ 김수현
A dedicated Korean language educator who holds a Master’s degree in Language Education and secondary teaching certification in Korea. Since 2015, she has been committed to Korean language instruction for diverse groups of learners and has been serving as an instructor at the Korean Education Centre (KEC) in Canada since 2018. Her professional background includes teaching at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Continuing Education from 2019 to 2023, as well as facilitating high-level communication as an interpreter for Korean government delegation training programs in Canada since 2019. In addition, drawing on her unique experience as a professional translator for a premier children’s and young adult literature publisher in Korea, she excels at making complex grammar and subtle cultural nuances highly accessible and engaging. With her proven expertise and approachable teaching style, she creates a supportive learning environment that helps students build true confidence in their Korean language skills.
