The AKS Graduate Fellowship is GSKS' non-degree program which invites international graduate students to the AKS and supports them for six months, providing them with a momentum to grow to be a next generation of promising scholars in Korean studies. AKS Graduate Fellows for the period from 1st September 2026 to 28th February 2027 period are now being sought. Those who aspire to widen and deepen their knowledge of Korea by conducting research at GSKS are very welcome to apply. A. Program Overview This is a non-degree program that invites international students and overseas Koreans who are currently enrolled in Master’s or Doctoral programs related to Korean Studies at overseas universities to conduct research at the Graduate School of Korean Studies, The Academy of Korean Studies. 캐나다한국교육원 이지은 원장은 지난 4월 11일(토), 캐나다한국인교육자협회(Korean-Canadian Educators’ Network, 이하 KCEN) 컨퍼런스에 참석했습니다. 이번 KCEN 컨퍼런스는 'Inspiring Education' 주제로 진행되었으며, 다양한 교육 경험을 지닌 전문가들의 강연과 더불어 현장의 목소리를 직접 들을 수 있는 네트워킹 기회가 마련된 뜻깊은 자리였습니다. 앞으로도 캐나다 내 한국계 교사들의 활발한 연구 활동을 지원하기 위해 지속적인 관심과 지원을 이어나가겠습니다.

캐나다한국교육원(원장 이지은)은 지난 4월 8일(수)부터 토론토 한인회에서 한글학교를 대상으로 2026년도 재외동포용 한국어 교과서 및 교재 배부를 시작했습니다. 올해는 총 38개 학교에서 8,329권의 교과서를 신청하였습니다. 매년 전 세계 한글학교 학생들에게 무상으로 제공되는 재외동포용 한국어 교과서 및 교재는 한국어 교과서뿐 아니라 문화·한류 관련 교재와 실제 한국 학교에서 활용되는 국정 교과서도 포함되어 있으며, 다양한 문화 콘텐츠를 통해 한국 사회와 한류에 대한 폭넓은 이해를 돕도록 구성되어 있습니다. 이지은 교육원장은 “한글을 알리기 위해 항상 헌신하는 한글학교와 교사들께 감사드린다. 이번에 배포되는 교과서와 교재가 한글학교 교육 현장에서 유익하게 활용되기를 바란다”라고 밝혔습니다.

공주대학교 사범대 학생들 2025년 4월 28일부터 5월 23일까지 토론토카톨릭교육청 소속 Brebeuf College School에서 교육실습을 실시합니다. 공주대학교에서 선발한 5명의 학생들은 교육실습 동안 배정받은 학교에서 과목별 지도교사와 함께하며, 수업 참관 및 실제 수업 지도 등 학습지도를 중심으로 실습하게 됩니다.
