Course Description

This course is for students who can already read basic Hangeul and want to begin using Korean in everyday situations. Students will practice self-introduction, basic sentence patterns, location expressions, numbers, and shopping conversations.

The course focuses on speaking practice. Grammar is introduced as a tool for communication.

Materials

Instructor-made slides, handouts, speaking prompts, role play activities, and short dialogues

Learning Goals

1.    Introduce themselves using basic Korean.
2.    Talk about name, country, occupation, and simple personal information using guided sentence patterns.
3.    Use selected basic particles such as -은/는, -이/가, and -을/를 in guided speaking practice.
4.    Use simple present-tense expressions such as -아요, -어요, and -해요 in guided practice.
5.    Ask and answer simple questions about objects and locations.
6.    Use basic numbers and price expressions in shopping situations.
7.    Participate in a short guided role-play using everyday Korean expressions.

수업 규칙

1. Try to be on time. Arriving a few minutes early helps the class start smoothly.

2. Turning on your camera is encouraged. Students may use a profile photo if needed.

3. Keep your microphone muted when you are not speaking.

4. Enjoy the learning process. Let us have fun and learn together.

5. Most important rule: If you know the word in Korean, try to say it in Korean.
