The Korean Education Centre in Canada will administer the 108th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) for overseas learners of Korean and for those preparing for further education or employment related to Korea.

TOPIK is an examination designed to objectively assess the Korean language proficiency of learners whose native language is not Korean. It is administered in more than 90 countries worldwide and is internationally recognized for its credibility.

The 108th TOPIK is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 17, at York University. The application period will run for three weeks, from July 6 to July 27.

TOPIK scores obtained from this test can be used for admission to Korean universities and graduate schools, applications for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) and training programs, employment and internship opportunities related to Korea, and assessments of residency or visa status.

Through this examination, the Korean Education Centre in Canada hopes that Korean language learners will have an opportunity to objectively evaluate their Korean proficiency and more systematically plan their future studies and career paths.
