New Korean Credit Courses at DCDSB

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is launching Korean language credit courses for the 2026–2027 school year.

With this new program, students in the Durham Region will have the opportunity to learn Korean language and culture close to home while earning an Ontario high school credit.

<Course Information>

Dates: October 3, 2026 – May 29, 2027
Time: Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School (Ajax)
Format: In-person
Tuition: Free

<Courses Offered>

Grades 9 & 10: LKKBD
Grade 11: LKKCU
Grade 12: LKKDU (University Preparation)

<Registration>

Registration opens on September 7. Current high school students can register through their school Guidance Counsellor.

The Grade 12 course, LKKDU, is a University Preparation course and may be used as an elective for university applications, depending on the admission requirements of the university and program.

The Korean Education Affairs Section will also provide Korean Credit Course students with various opportunities, including participation in the Korean Speech Contest, TOPIK test fee support for eligible students, and special programs.
