2019 Korea Week : Voyage to Korea

◇ The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto will hold the「2019 Korea Week」from Tuesday, October 15th to Friday, October 18th to celebrate Korean Heritage Month in Ontario.

- The「2019 Korea Week」has been organized in collaboration with many organizations, including Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea, Korean Food Promotion Institute, University of Toronto Korean Students’ Association (UTKSA), George Brown College Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Korea Tourism Organization Toronto Office, KOTRA Toronto, Arirang Korea TV, Galleria Supermarket, P.A.T. Supermarket, Nongshim Canada, Korean Red Ginseng Co., CJ Cheiljedan, Canada Six Fortune Enterprise Co. LTD., Vie Avenue, Samjin International, KIM SUN International, TAEBAEK Corp., Asung Trading, EXOD International, Air Canada, etc.

◇ Under the theme of ‘Voyage to Korea’, this four-day cultural journey will highlight Korea’s cultural assets in its various forms. Torontonians may discover dynamic and elegant K-Culture such as K-pop, K-food, K-beauty, K-movie and many more.

- As an opening event for 2019 Korea Week, 〈2019 Global Taste of Korea〉 will be presented on Tuesday, October 15th in partnership with George Brown College Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts : Korean Food Cooking Competition to show the rich culinary traditions of Korea.

- Korean Movie Night will take place on Wednesday, October 16th at Toronto Public Library Fort York Branch. This FREE public event aims to provide an opportunity for more Canadians to experience Korean cinema.

- Toronto Non Summit by Arirang Korea TV will be on Thursday, October 17th at Robarts Library Lounge, University of Toronto. The panel members from diverse ethnic backgrounds will be there to draw attention to and raise awareness of contemporary Korean society.

- The grande finale event of 2019 Korea Week featuring 〈K-Food &K-Beauty Festival〉and <K-Pop Night: K-Pop Contest〉will take place on October 18th at Nathan Phillips Square. The K-Food &K-Beauty Festival will be a great chance for all visitors to experience the rich flavours and beauty of Korean foods and cosmetics. The K-Pop Night invites K-pop lovers to show their talents and passion for the K-pop. Please join to cheer your favorite teams and enjoy the K-Pop culture. There will be special performances including the Nanta Hanta Light Presbyterian Church Traditional Drums Demonstration and the Hanbok (Korean traditional dress) fashion show.
